About the role:
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Property & Infrastructure Directorate runs smoothly and efficiently by providing high-quality, consistent business support services. As part of a collaborative Business Support team, you will help meet the directorate’s diverse needs by delivering seamless support and identifying opportunities to improve processes. You'll also play a vital role in onboarding, training, and providing resources to up skill our team on systems and processes.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Coordinating and managing procurement and purchasing activities for the directorate.
- Providing Contract Management support.
- Administering and preparing responses to requests for information (from the public, media, and elected members) in accordance with agreed standards and processes.
- Compiling team and directorate-level reports & overseeing the governance processes within the directorate.
- Assisting with the directorate’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engaging and collaborating with teams across the wider organisation.

To best succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent body of applied working knowledge.
- You will have at least 5 years of administrative experience and advanced proficiency in computer software (with TechnologyOne experience) is highly desirable.
- High level of organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal and a strong customer ethos.
- Working knowledge of local government highly desirable.
