About the role:
You will play a key role in supporting transformation projects and improving organisational efficiency. Acting as a bridge between Business Improvement Specialists and the Business Systems team, you will analyse processes, research and implement technical solutions, and provide expertise in system planning, testing, and support—particularly for the TechnologyOne enterprise suite.
The main function of this role is to understand the breadth of implemented technical solutions that are available and to determine which solutions may meet the Council's needs and are in line with QLDC strategy and community outcomes. This role will provide expertise in solution research and planning, analysis and design, implementation and the testing of systems.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Leading business analysis and project delivery, from scoping requirements to implementing and testing business systems and processes.
- Designing and implementing organisation-wide business processes, ensuring statutory
compliance and efficiency improvements. - Develop reports, dashboards, and alerts within TechnologyOne.
- Create clear technical specifications based on well understood customer business requirements.
- Analyse existing business processes to identify opportunities to improve workflow.
- Provide thorough quality assurance and testing of any changes.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a key liaison between Council and technology providers.

What you'll bring:
You will be an experienced IT professional with 10+ years in information systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage change and complex challenges. You will have exceptional time management, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strategic mindset to drive future development. Previous experience working with TechnologyOne is highly advantageous.
To best succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- Tertiary Qualification, preferably in information systems or business studies, or extensive and comparable relevant experience of at least 10 years.
- Demonstrated experience in process and system development and improvement.
- A balanced and informed approach to problem-solving, particularly in situations involving
change, stress, and conflict. - Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with an excellent eye for detail.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key business users/
stakeholders and gain their trust and respect. - Advantageous to have an advanced technical expertise in Technology One including the ability to design, build, report, and deliver ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Relates well to all kinds of people.
