About the role:
This is a key analyst function for our team that role will grow over time with a widened breadth of understanding. You will engage across the business to analyse, monitor and report on the progress of project and programmes across QLDCs Capital Programmes.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Programme Analysis & Reporting: Analyse project performance data, deliver timely dashboards and reports, and ensure accurate financial alignment in collaboration with Finance.
  • Project Governance & Assurance: Drive quality assurance processes through project health checks and audits, ensuring adherence to change control protocols and project methodology standards.
  • PMO Coordination & Best Practice: Develop and maintain project management frameworks, tools, templates, and onboarding processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the organisation.
  • Continuous Improvement & Methodology Support: Identify and implement improvements to enhance project delivery and engagement with QLDC’s Project Management Method.
  • System Administration – Sentient: Act as System Administrator for Sentient, providing user support, managing the relationship with the vendor, and driving system enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Training: Provide advice, training, and support to stakeholders
    across the business to foster a culture of lessons learned and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:
You will have proven project management experience, preferably with PRINCE2 methodology, strong analytical and coordination skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team and work with the business to identify and improve project management processes.

To best succeed in this role, you’ll have:
  • Experience in programme and/or project coordination within a PMO.
  • Knowledge of project methodologies and other project management frameworks (e.g.
    PRINCE2).
  • Experience with project budgeting and forecasting and various project registers.
  • Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Some experience in using MS Project will be an advantage.
  • Previous use of a PPM solution (e.g. Sentient).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills with an excellent eye for detail
  • The ability to multitask and have an agile approach to working
